Welcome to Edenbridge Primary School

A very warm welcome to Edenbridge Primary School.  We hope you will find lots of interesting information here to inform you about our school, the activities and the people within it.

Open Mornings

We would love for you to visit our school to see how proud we are of everyone's hard work.  We are holding open mornings on Wednesday 21st November at 9am and Wednesday 28th November at 9am.   If you are not able to make these times, please contact the school office and we will do our very best to cater to your needs.

Sevenoaks Girls' Football Tournament

girls football tournament

On Thursday 8th November, Mr Holliday took seven of our year six girls to participate in a local girls' football tournament.  Spectators were impressed with the girls' performance and their team spirit.  Well done for making us feel proud girls!

Remembrance Day

Nest Remembrance display(1)

Thank you to children who attend The Nest for this lovely Remembrance display as part of our preparation for recognising the 100th anniversary of World War 1 which ended in 1918.

On Monday 5th November, all the Head Boys and Head Girls from seven of The Pioneer Academy schools gathered at South Norwood Primary School.  They each lay a wreath and led a reading as part of our remembrance activities.  There was a real sense of pride between them all and a lovely opportunity for the children to meet each other at such an important event.

The Edenbridge Bonfire Parade 3/11/18

On Saturday 3rd November we took part in the Edenbridge Bonfire Parade.  In recognition of the Royal British Legion's 100 years since the end of World War 1, the theme of Flanders Field and poppies was chosen.  A big thank you to Andrea Deans, Julie Yates, Paul Jones and Tina Lane and all the amazing parents who gave up so much of their own time to organise our entry.  As you can see from the photos, over 150 of us took part in our entry, proudly representing our school.  We were delighted to be awarded Best Junior Tableau, Best Music and congratulations to Andrea who deservedly won best individual costume.  It was an amazing event finished off by exciting fireworks in the rec.  Thank you to everyone who came along and supported us.

Cinema Club 01/11/18

Incredibles pic

On Thursday 1st November Years 1, 2 and 3 enjoyed an exciting evening watching the film Incredibles 2!  The children had great fun and the event was very well organised thanks to a group of dedicated parents.

Many thanks to the parents who gave up their time to support the event and we look forward to another movie night soon!

Cross Country Race Competition 31/10/18

On Wednesday 31st October, Edenbridge Primary School participated in a cross country competition against the other local schools.  It was a tough competition but they all did really well and supported each other with excellent team work.  You can see from the photos how determined they all were.  Well done children!

Year 2 out and about 16/10/18

This week Year 2 classes went on a walk around the town, focusing on the different kinds of buildings and the ways in which they have been built. They were very observant, identifying  a range of different house types learnt in class: terraced, flats, semi-detached, bungalows, thatched rooves, pitched rooves and more! They then made observational sketches of the church and the old library. Ask them more to find out even more facts about our town.

The children were brilliantly behaved, showing respect and consideration as they walked safely around the town. They really represented the school well!   Miss Westlake
