Welcome to Edenbridge Primary School

A very warm welcome to Edenbridge Primary School.  We hope you will find lots of interesting information here to inform you about our school, the activities and the people within it.

TOGETHER OUR FOREST AND CHILDREN WILL THRIVE

P1050431On Wednesday 12th September, Mike Angell, Kent County Chairman and Roger Gough, Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Education, visited Edenbridge Primary School to plant the first of many trees as part of the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy Project.

Lee Mason-Ellis, CEO of the Pioneer Academy, said, “The visit was a huge success and our guests were honoured to plant the first tree as part of the project.  The school council will now decide where to plant the remaining trees.  Throughout the visit all the children across the school were a credit to us all, showing focused learning and exemplary behaviour.”

The Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy is a unique network of forest conservation initiatives, which involves all 53 countries of the Commonwealth.  Overall, 30 trees will be planted within the school grounds to create a forest for future generations to enjoy and learn from.

Headteacher Clare Butcher said, “We are really excited to be starting this project in our school by planting the first of our 30 trees which will enhance our school site and the educational environment for our children.”  Whilst visiting, the guests were very impressed with the learning within the school environment and the recent changes undertaken by the staff at Edenbridge Primary School.  They commented on the hard work and commitment of the staff to make Edenbridge an exciting learning community.
